Six terminals. One needs you.

Sessionboard is a local dashboard for Claude Code. It watches the terminals you already use and shows which session is working, which one needs you and which is safe to close.

Six Claude Code sessions, all working.

See it in 22 seconds.

A session asks you a question. Another one finishes, passes its six checks, and Hold to close closes it.

Seven things it does, one task at a time.

Task 1 of 7

Watch every session

Every Claude Code session you start shows up on one board, grouped by project, with what it is doing right now. Nothing to wrap or relaunch: your sessions keep running in the terminals you already use.

Task 2 of 7

Flag who needs you

When a session ends its turn with a question, it moves to the top as Needs you, with the question itself. You answer in its terminal; the board catches up on its own.

ota-retry

~/code/firmware

Should the retry back off exponentially, or keep the fixed 5s the bootloader expects?

Task 3 of 7

Show task progress, when Claude keeps a list

Sessionboard turns on Claude Code’s task list tools. Claude rarely keeps a list on its own, so ask it to; when it does, the row shows how far along it is.

risk-lineWorking · Now: Bash pytest tests/risk -q · 3 of 5 tasks done
  • Read the rounding rules
  • Add a failing test for half-cent rounding
  • Fix round_half_even in ledger/risk.py
  • Run the risk suite
  • Update CHANGELOG.md
Task 4 of 7

Track PRs and CI

Each session’s branch, pull request and CI state, read through your own gh. A PR that is ready to merge shows up as Your move.

Task 5 of 7

Check it’s safe to close

Six checks before you close a session: tasks done, not waiting on you, worktree clean, nothing unpushed, PR and CI, no background tasks. Then Hold to close.

Safe to close. All 6 checks pass.

Task 6 of 7

Stay on your machine

The board listens on 127.0.0.1 only, with a per-install token and no account. What reaches out: an optional summary, written by your own claude -p --model haiku, and PR and CI state, read through your own gh.

Fit beside your terminals

The board stays readable at 440px wide, so it docks next to your terminals instead of covering them. Six palettes, light and dark.

How it works at launch

  1. 1Download Sessionboard for Mac.

A signed, notarized Mac app. It needs no Python.

  2. 2Open it.

The board runs on your Mac, at 127.0.0.1.

  3. 3Run claude as usual.

Each session shows up on the board on its own.

Questions

Does it replace my terminal?

No. Your sessions keep running in the terminals you already use. Sessionboard reads Claude Code’s hooks and shows every session on one board; you still answer a question in its own terminal.

What can leave my machine?

The board runs at 127.0.0.1. This is everything that reaches out:

Optional summaries
Opening Safe to close, or pressing Generate summary, runs your own claude -p --model haiku to write a short summary. It goes wherever your Claude Code already sends requests. The Summaries switch in Settings turns it off.
PR and CI state
Read through your own gh, signed in as you. GitHub sees the same requests as when you run it yourself.
Nothing else
No account and no telemetry. Hooks never send a tool’s output, and they send only to the board on this machine.
Does every session show task progress?

Only when Claude keeps a list. Sessionboard turns on Claude Code’s task list tools, but Claude rarely keeps a list on its own, so ask it to.

Does it run on Linux or Windows?

No. Sessionboard is a Mac app.

When can I get it?

It’s coming soon for Mac. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when it’s out.

Is it made by Anthropic?

No. Sessionboard is an independent tool for Claude Code. It isn’t made or endorsed by Anthropic.
